12 weeks and 2 days and our babies are the size of plums. We have an appointment on Thursday to see them and I couldn't be happier! It will be our last appointment until 16 weeks, then 20 weeks before more frequent monitoring may begin again. I think Justin and I are finally starting to… Continue reading Plumble Bees 🐝

OB Appointment and the diagram of a cervix
I saw my OB this week after graduation from our RE. She's only been my OB for about three years because I had to unexpectedly switch due to an incident that happened with my previous. She's a very good doctor who many people I know use and is very kind. The last time she saw… Continue reading OB Appointment and the diagram of a cervix
Fruit I never knew was the same size.
Strawberries. Kumquats. Prunes. Apparently, the babies are the size of all three this week. They've graduated from embryos to fetuses just as I've graduated from my RE to my OB. As I gave a pantless hug to everyone yesterday, I was overcome with emotion. It's hard to believe. 6 rounds of clomid. 3 rounds of… Continue reading Fruit I never knew was the same size.
Olive Juice
It's weird how things become "things." Like mouthing "olive juice" when you were younger because the mouth motions are identical to "I love you." I was always markedly disappointed that people weren't sharing their affection with me. (My sensitivity started from a young age.) Anyway, we have two little babies, the size of olives growing… Continue reading Olive Juice
New disclaimer!
I'm going to start updating here for family and close friends. If you work with me, please do not share with anyone else at the moment. It is still very early and we have a long way to go!! Please feel free to talk to me about it in a private setting. 😘 I think… Continue reading New disclaimer!
Krasbeans and other units of measurement
Yesterday, we had our 8wk ultrasound to check in on our little guys. According to various apps, they're the size of either kidney beans or raspberries. I'm finding it disconcerting that they're compared to food constantly, but I also am having trouble thinking of alternatives. Perhaps a small pebble? A stack of seven nickels? 300… Continue reading Krasbeans and other units of measurement
8 Weeks!
Today, I am 8 weeks pregnant with our little kidney beans. Tomorrow at 10:00 AM, we get to go in for an ultrasound to check on them. If they both have heartbeats are are growing appropriately, the miscarriage risk is significantly diminished. I am crossing every thing I have and praying that we see and… Continue reading 8 Weeks!
Trip Recap
We had yet another delay once arriving in Denver when getting our rental car. Apparently, there were millions of recalls, so we were supposed to sit in a five hour line. Luckily, I was not in lunatic mode any longer and had my bearings about me. I signed up for their loyalty program, told the… Continue reading Trip Recap
Placenta x 2 = Double the Hormones (otherwise known as my first breakdown)
This morning, we woke up before 4:00 AM to depart Columbia at 6:00 to go to Estes Park, by way of Denver to meet my family for a long weekend. The airport in Columbia is tiny, with one security line. They ask you to get there an hour early in order to have time. Today,… Continue reading Placenta x 2 = Double the Hormones (otherwise known as my first breakdown)
6w1d and our first ultrasound
Today marked my LONG wait and just over two weeks since I was confirmed pregnant. We went in this morning and they took my blood pressure and weight prior to walking me in. This was another vaginal ultrasound (like I'm used to) since it's so early. My blood pressure was surprisingly normal and I'm still… Continue reading 6w1d and our first ultrasound
