Personal Computer vs. Work Computer

I’ve been trying to find the space to write, but every time I login to my computer, I find another task to do that isn’t writing here, so I’m reverting back to a personal computer being separate from a work computer. I’m not sure if this is a lasting effort, but we’ll see. How Millennial of me – not only must I write on a computer, but two!? I suppose in another twenty years, my thoughts will flow effortlessly from my brain to the screen with no pedestrian keystrokes needed. For now, I’ll stick to the computer.

I tried doing voice to text for a blog about concerts and how they shaped my life, but once I read it, it sounded like the musings of an unmedicated schizophrenic in a psychotic state. I tried editing it – for over an hour – and then realized that a monologue isn’t necessarily meant to be written. Someday, perhaps, I’ll write the blog about concerts that was dear to me, but it’s not today.

We’re almost through the kindergarten year for my oldest two children and it has flown by. It has been full of mainly all positive things, both in their schooling and in their growth. In November, Carter fell off the choir risers because he was not using a “safe body” which then knocked one of his front teeth loose. Several weeks later, on the way to Thanksgiving at Nana’s house, he swallowed the tooth while eating an apple. Yesterday, we experienced our first tooth loss of natural causes as he very bravely pulled out a tooth from the bottom that was hanging on by a thread. He was surprised by how small the tooth looked when it was out of his mouth. Isabelle has been moving up in gymnastics and continuing to enjoying spending time being the leader of the house. She loves taking pictures and reading, as well as art in all forms. All of her teeth are still in tact. I’ll have to go back to my notes but I’m pretty sure she started getting teeth before Carter, just all very interesting.

Scarlett and Landon are three. They’re very challenging, but certainly add a lot of spice and laughter to our lives, as well. In case maybe you thought that birth order wouldn’t be so crazy in two sets of twins, think again. I’ve definitely got a 1, 2, 3, and 4 personality going on in my sweet babes and to see it constantly present itself is very interesting. Scarlett has been starting to tell stories about things that may or may not have happened (most of the time did not) and blaming almost everything on her bubby, who most certainly exemplifies the baby of the household.

Anywho, this is mainly just to remind myself how to put fingers to keys; i’ve got more exciting topics to write about (not really, but more guided than this).
